Just received my 9100 Unitfrom geeks.com this unit has been relabeled IPVideo, but from what I read it is a 9100A (not sure wht difference is in between 9100 and 9100A)

anyways. as per feedback from other users went to yoiks and got updated firmware

went to the webpage interface and proceeded t fdo firmware upgrade

bar rolled all the way to the end almost immediately (no % sign)

I waited about 5 minutes just to be sure before clicking o the restart button'

after which it never came back.. no record in the dhcp of the router

detection utility doesnt pick it up either even after updating this utility.

can only guess I hoosed it, i have no problem with exchanging it but want to get the new firmware on to it... any way to ensure this.. or can it simply not be done on newer units???

any help greatly appreciated tony (at) 780tech (dot) cm

I ised IE8 on my windows 7 64 bit machine.

have no idea how to upload the rom file though.

FS (i believe is the command for xmodem) but there is a series of parameteres and alsmo am unsure if the same yoics image should work or not ?????

OK.

After reading the entire thread to the end. I saw a posting of alternate files for different versions.

just wondering. might it not be nice for someone to simply say so from the beginning.

so... got it back to factory.

question is......

Dare I try to reflash the Yoics firmware form the web interface, was this all jjust a fluke or is there different versions of the Yoics firmware fo rdifferent versions of this unit?
