I'm new in the yoics forum and first I want to wish everybody a happy new year!
Sorry for my English. I'm from Germany and not a native speaker
I have a problem with my aviosys 9100.
A few days before christmas I tried to update my 9100 with the yoics firmware over the web site (the original firmare is the 2.39a). I choose the download file and start the update. After that I didn't had a connection to the 9100. I tried several times the IP. I tried with dhcp, and a direct connection with my desktop and my notebook with a crossed Lan cable. No response.
So I surfed in the internet and found a few very interisting pages, like these one
and these one in your forum:
Because of the fact, that I found a Max232 IC in my basement I build an interface for the rs232 to ttl and try to connect with the 9100 over the onboard interface. It works.
After the ls command I saw only the imgage0 and imgage6 on the video server.
OK, the server missed one image. So I downloaded the files for the firmware 2.39, that I found in the second link on page 3 and try to load the linux.bin file over Hyperterminal into the 9100.
And now starts my problem.
When I wrote the command
fx 7 linux.bin 0x7F020000 0x00008000 -acxz
I got the error:
ERROR: Write failed.
(I don't know the exact words anymore)
I tried several times with the same result. So I decided to test it without the image 6, maybe there was a adress problem.
So I deleted image 6 and try again to load the image 7.
Wonderfull, the 9100 load the file without any problem.
After that I try to download the image 6 again (file also from the second link). But the 9100 do not start to wait for the file upload and write:
ERROR: Data corrupted, please check the free space of flash.
Does anyone knows whats happend with my video server?
Are the files, that I downloaded for the version 2.39 not the right ones for the 2.39a?
Is there maybe a adress problem with these files?
I have no idea what I can do now and I'm thankful for any proposal

|Did you read this thread completely?
Look at the end, everything you need to know is in there, but read the whole thing first, since the beginning is much older than the end.
It is possible that your flash is corrupt and is why it failed to upgrade.
FYI never delete image 0
It is possible that your xmodem is set incorrectly? You using hyper terminal?
