Yoics 9100a ROM ver. 2.45 now available

The latest version of the Yoics 9100a ROM has been released. More information & a download link are available here: http://9100.yoics.com

In summary:
- New improved UI, easy toggle between 4-1 camera views & easy jump back to Yoics mode from legacy mode.
- Improved Yoics connectivity. If you use Yoics for remote accessing your 9100a, we greatly enhanced the firewalls that it will work through. You?fll also need to get the latest version of the Yoics desktop, which is available for download on our home page: http://www.yoics.com. The latest version also has A LOT of new features, so while you?fre there, please check those out.
- We?fve also streamlined this version to improve overall operation (by increasing memory). The downside is we?fve taken out some of the debug features, specifically busybox and telnet. See note in ?gknow limitations?h if you can?ft live without telnet.

Known limitations:
- As brought up in another thread, email notification in version 2.44 was not functioning. In order to get this function working, we?fve reinserted the Aviosys camera.flt back in for version 2.45 (2.44 is a custom build based on source that we received from our development partner Winbond). The downside is that if you want to use the Yoics specific features, the ?gpassword?h won?ft function. That said, if you are using Yoics for remote access & sharing, Yoics provides both password and encryption, so overall there would be an increase in protection.
- Part of the reason that we slimmed the build down (by taking out busybox and telnet) was we discovered that when Motion detection was used, it was leaking memory. We are hopeful that with the help of Winbond we?fll be able to fix this problem, and like everyone else we?fre trying to work with Aviosys, but so far not much luck. If you can?ft live without Telnet & don?ft use motion detection, we?fve got a build with the new UI available. Just PM us for the download link.
- FTP, anyone? So not sure what the trick is, but even with version 2.39 (non-Yoics) we?fve never been able to get FTP to work. We can get it to login, but never seems to upload anything. If anyone has any tricks – would be much appreciated.

I use the FTP feature. Have used it with both the Aviosys rom and the YOICS. I have had to play with it to get it to work. I think the trick is to set your server that you are FTPing too to ALLOW Anonymous....you don't use anonymous on the settings/use an account name and password that exist///but for some reason, the only way I have been able to FTP is to set my server(receiving server) so that it allows anonymous login-and I have no Idea why that made it work. I have the same problem with a Qsee Video Server.
