..Warning Updating Firmware is strictly at your own risk..
You must first download the firmware, there is a link on this page
http://support.yoics.com/viewtopic.php?t=608
Then if you are using the stock AVIOSYS 9100a you must use Internet Explorer to upgrade firmware. Most Yoics versions support both IE and Firefox, but not the original AVIOSYS software.
Using IE connect to the 9100 via its web interface.
Select configuration on the left hand side.
Then select System on the left hand side.
Scroll down on the right hand side and select firmware upgrade.
Hit the browse button and select the .bin file you downloaded above and select upload.
Click [here] to begin firmware upgrade.
click [ok] again
The progress bar should start moving across.
Wait for upgrade to complete, do not power off 9100a unit or you may damage the upgrade image.
then when done [click here to reboot IP video]
Wait for reboot timer to tick down.
You should now be looking at your new firmware. |

Hi!
Is it also possible to use the firmware for the new Aviosys 9100B in metal case?
Is inside of the case the same like 9100A?
Has anybody tested the Yoics firmware with the 9100B?
Thanks in advance,

Is the device meant to come back with the same IP address and everything once you load the firmware? After I clicked reboot on mine, it just dissappeared forever. I tried the reset button, tried using DHCP but it didn't turn up, tried scanning all the usual subnets, but still nothing. The firmware load said it worked fine.
What default IP address do these set to? |

did you try ipedit program? This comes on the disk for the 9100.
this searches for it no matter what subnet its on. |

Exact same problem as OP: the 9100A disappeared after an apparently successful firmware update. I awaited the reboot timer, let it sit for awhile, nothing. Doesn't show up on my LAN DHCP assignments, the manual address I set it to originally, and ipedit shows nothing.

Not Yoics itself, but the firmware upgrade might of. Until you upgrade to Yoics, the Firmware upgrade that is built into the 9100 is very poor and only works with IE. Once it has been upgraded to Yoics the firmware upgrade is much more reliable and supports other browsers like Firefox.
It is known that before you upgrade a 9100 you should reboot it because the firmware contains many memory leaks that can cause a firmware upgrade to fail.
You should read the Yahoo 9100 group for more information.
It also should be noted that about 20% of all 9100's sold get upgraded with the Yoics firmware. |

I'm on a mac mini with latest software.
Trying to update firmware on avios 9100a plus to 2.47 yoics.
i'm using IE to update. When I access the server page in the browser.
I try to click on config or on any selection and It gives the following erroe.
"You must select a valid watch window"
What's the fix? Firefox doesn't work the same way. And I cannot get anything to work past this error message. |

I figured out how to access the config and system pages by simply typing
http:// [your IP camera address]/Config.htm and
http:// [your IP camera address]/System.htm
and then was able to move to the next step.
But when I select file and OK the update. The status bar never moves. I left it overnight and into today and nothing.
Again, what's the deal. Is the Yahoo group even administered anymore? |

I follow the links in the Yahoo group and here, but they all point me back to the Yoics home page. What's the secret to actually getting to the firmware download? |

I can't seem to get the upload to happen. Looks like it uploads from the browser, I select reboot after it's done, then waits 60 seconds and starts the same 2.39-a firmware view.
What's up with that?
Thanks,
Rick |

Really great!
Now I can get individual images from http://myip/usr/yoics[0-3].jpg...
Thanks! |

New member here. Just "inherited" a 9100A. When I first got it it would cycle through the four possible video inputs, but having only 1 camera connected the visuals were..."sub-optimal". Found a llink here that gave some CGI codes, I used one of them to only select input 0, and that worked.
Now, I might want to add another video source, but there was no CGI command listed to get back to the scanning mode. And oh yeah, I do not have the original software disk, and when I access the 9100a web interface with IE I get only a "minimalist" display- there is no "system" link on the left hand side as other folks here have mentioned. In fact, I see no link to even tell me what verson of the firmware I have (I'm pretty sure it's the stock version).
Sooo... does anyone have a copy (or a link to) the software mentioned in the manual (IP_KAM something or other), or a method by which I can upgrade to some YOICS firmware (again, no link to do that when I access the 9100a server in IE or anything else).
Thanks for any help. |
