|

I upgraded to 2.47 this weekend from the original 9100A software. I read all the available information and the upgrade was painless. This is a great improvement and has transformed a clunky and quirky product into a very good one. I plan on buying several more of these and upgrading to the 2.47 software.
After the upgrade I noticed an unusual uptick in internet traffic through my firewall. The device is now communicating periodically with a web address yoics-ses03.inetu.net. If I block it at the firewall, it sequentially adjust to a different port and IP address every minute and makes 10 more attempts to "phone home".
Does anyone know what information is being exchanged? Are images from my Yoics equipped, 9100A web server being captured elsewhere? Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

That is the remote access feature of the 9100 software.
You can get an account at www.yoics.net and you can remote access your camera securely without port forwarding.
If you wish to disable Yoics Remote access you can turn it off in the legacy interface (where depending on browser)
IE firmware->options disable yoics remote connectivity |
