Wait for auto-negotiation complete...ResetPhyChip Failed

Looks like your Phy chip burned up, common with these guys.

The biggest downside to 9100 is that its design runs hot.

Mike, thanks for the help

About the time I got this message, I was able to get the YOICS bin file to load using the command "ft 6 romfs 0x7f0c0000 0x7f0c0014 -a"

Once it looked like all was good, I powered it down, hooked it up to the cameras, went to my PC, used IPEdit to find it.

I logged in, and it seemed like it was working fine.

So I decided to set my static IP, add some users, etc.... I made my changes, clicked reboot now, and when it booted, the YOICS index1.htm page showed no cams. So I went into the legacy interface, check all my setting, but I could see the cams.

I tried rebooting the box a couple of times, but the YOICS page just showed blank cams.

So then I decided to try downloading the files http://support.yoics.com/files/9100_repair/linux.zip and http://support.yoics.com/files/9100_repair/9100a.bin

Using xmodem in hyperterm, I was able to load 9100a.bin using the command:
fx 6 romfs.img 0x7F0A0000 0x7F0A0000 -a

When I attempt to do the same with LINUX.bin using the command:
fx 7 linux.bin 0x7F020000 0x00008000 -acxz

I get this message:
bootloader > fx 7 linux.bin 0x7F020000 0x00008000 -acxz
Waiting for download
Press Ctrl-x to cancel ...
CCCCCCCCCC

Do you think I'm doing something wrong?

fx 7 linux.bin 0x7F020000 0x00008000 -acxz

This looks correct, if that doesn't work, it is possible that you flash memory is damaged, or that there is something wrong with your upload.

I assume your using hyperterminal to xmodem upload your files.

you need to figure out how to load the linux.zip that matches your original firmware version.

Hi, i flashed my 9100A as well and have no LAN-Connection any more. Via the Max 232A and Hyperterminal with my old WIN98-PC I get a connection and can see the boot-process. What exactly do I have to type into the Hyperterminal-window to upload the romfs.img and the linux.bin? What are the correct settings on the ANSI-page for the hyperterminal-PGM? What do I have to upload first, the linux or the romfs-file, do I have to unzip it before or can I specify the zip-file?
Regards
Wolfgang

So I got it back to work.
Solution: Instead of uploading the romfs.img I uploaded the 9100A.bin with the command fx 6 romfs.img 0x7f0a0000 0x7f0a0014 -a after deleting image 6 (del 6).
Now everything works fine thanks to the help in that forumKeep on going, guys!
